October is National Fire Safety Month, and fire departments across our area are opening up their doors and welcoming residents to visit the station, meet the firefighters, and learn about fire safety and prevention.

October 19 - Participants will be shown a live burn and sprinkler system demonstration and a hydraulic extrication tool demonstration. There will be tours of the fire station and plenty of activities for kids including a bouncy slide, climbing through the fire trucks and taking turns spraying a hose. Adults and children will have the opportunity to view the department's fire trucks and the equipment that firefighters use every day. Learn more HERE.

October 12 - Stop by the Randolph Fire Department Headquarters for a station tour, to check out the fire engines, ladder trucks, and ambulances, see a demo of the vehicle extrication equipment and a prop smokehouse that kids can enter to see what it's like to be inside of a building that is filled with smoke. October 5 - Join the Stoughton Fire Department to see the fire station, meet the firefighters, check out the fire apparatus, learn fire safety tips and have some pizza. Learn more HERE.
