This ULTIMATE BIRTHDAY GUIDE is lined with everything you need to throw a great party! From location to bakery to entertainment! Anything you might need for your party, I have compiled into a list for you.
Let's start with bakeries...
Whether you're getting a traditional birthday cake, cookie favors or donuts-we've got you covered!
Five out of my six kids do not like traditional cake. So we have had to venture out for alternative dessert options. Thankfully we can always count on two - Donut King in Weymouth has the most phenomenal donuts, including themed, to offer for any occasion! They're reasonably priced and do a wonderful job all around! We have been visiting Donut King for years, now! Every year we get birthday donuts-from giant numbers to actual party themes!
When we are looking for something to send home with our guests, we go with cookies! A good friend of mine owns and runs Tiny Kitchen Cookie Company right out of her home kitchen in Weymouth. Jen makes the most beautiful cookie art, her work is divine! The cookies are almost too beautiful to eat! Luckily, they taste just as good as they look! Check her out!!
If you're looking for a traditional cake or cupcake order, Fratelli's is the place to go! A small, family run business in the South Shore-Fratelli's has a lot to offer! They accept custom orders for cakes/cupcakes. They have a few different locations along with their Weymouth location, and they ship nationwide!
Let's talk about indoor playspaces...
If you are looking for a great place to have a birthday party for your little one's first birthday, or your kiddo's 5th birthday party, or anywhere between and maybe even a little bit older-I have some amazing places for you!
My Gym in Braintree is a fantastic little gymnastics spot for kids to get that energy out! The staff at My Gym are always warm and welcoming, energetic and fun, they keep the kids engaged throughout the entire party! There's never a dull moment! We recently had a combo birthday party for my 3 and 5 year old children and it was PERFECT for those ages! Toward the end of the party, right before we sung ''happy birthday'',the birthday kiddos got to go into a VIP room and get into dress up clothes and accessories, and they were paraded around the main playroom on sleds while the staff led our guests to applaud for them, it was really special and they loved it!
The Children's Museum in Easton has a lot to offer for kiddos, in fact, they have three floors full of different themes and fun! We had my youngest son's First birthday party there in 2022! The staff is always polite and welcoming, there is tons to do and tons of space to move around in. They have three floors full of different experiences for children-a camping room, a STEAM room, trains, solar system, art, pretend play and more!
For my son's 7th birthday party, we have planned a wonderful day for him at Goldfish Swim School in Braintree. My son takes lessons at Goldfish and loves it! He asked if he could have his birthday party there, and of course I said ''YES!'' He is very excited to invite his friends for a day of indoor swimming and water play! For the duration of your party, the entire facility and pool is yours to use, privately, for you and your guests! How amazing!
Another great place I would recommend for the age group of Zero to 5/6/7 years old would be Maplewood Country Day Camp in Easton. This is one of our favorite places to visit throughout the year, I can only imagine how awesome it would be to have a party here! Maplewood has SO MUCH to offer! Outdoors and indoors! They have a huge facility and tons of play spaces. Wonderful staff makes this place feel so welcoming! I'd definitely recommend hosting a birthday party at Maplewood.
Now for the older group of kiddos...
I have kids of all ages. I have always struggled with finding a place to host my kid's party where they won't be bored, their friends won't be bored and I won't be stuck entertaining them! I am happy to report that I have found a few sweet spots in some of the towns I cover!
Tree Top Adventures is a zip-lining and tree climbing spot located in Canton. We visited Tree Top Adventures in the fall and had a blast! My 13 year old and her friends had so much fun, it's perfect for that age, a bit younger and older! There are so many different routes you can take to climb and zip-line, it's almost impossible to finish them all in one day! It's so great!
For the little gamer in your life, check out Dave & Buster's in Braintree! 100's of games, a private upper deck area to use for your party space, delicious food and drinks-this is a great space! Adults and kids will LOVE hanging out at Dave & Buster's!
Another great spot that is definitely going to WOW your guests is Central Rock Gym in Randolph. As you probably guessed from the name, this is a rock climbing gym. Central Rock has a TON of space, including a kid's climbing area! We visited and it was such a good time! My kids have been begging me to bring them back!
How about venues and entertainment...
One of my favorite places to host an event is at Barrel House Z in Weymouth. It's beautiful and spacious, great staff and they let you bring pretty much anything you want to bring with you-as far as catering, animal shows, entertainment, etc,.
As far as entertainment, if you're searching for a facepainter OR a paint night extraordinaire, look no further than Handful Of Fortunes!
Keep checking back for this ever-changing list! I will update accordingly!
Some of these facilities have offered free or discounted party packages/goods to Macaroni Kid Weymouth in exchange for making the list. This does not, in any way, change my opinion of them. I would not stand behind a business that did not give exemplary service. These reviews are honest and true. Thank you!
