We've all been in this position, you just ...forgot! It's okay! Don't panic! Take a deep breath and read this guide for some quick ideas to tell the kids!
TEN REASONS YOUR SCOUT ELF DID NOT MOVE LAST NIGHT:
- He wanted to get a head start for Santa, and watched the kids while they slept, instead of heading back to the North Pole.
- He's learning the art of YOGA and has been practicing a stretching routine, he just had to stay put in that position!
- He's on strike! He is protesting the lack of elf-sized snacks you have in your house! (This would be a great time to pull out some cheerios and frosting, let the kids make elf-sized donuts to accommodate your elf's demands!)
- The cat was a LITTLE too close for his comfort level, he was nervous if he moved that thing was sure to pounce!
- He caught a little elf-flu and needs to rest up!
- He did move, he just went right back to that spot-it is cozy, after all!
- Someone got out of bed and he was nervous he'd be caught, he can't take any chances being seen by one of his house-humans!
- Elf flights were cancelled due to extreme fog conditions. How annoying!
- He was up late watching Christmas movies and decided to take a nap...when he woke up the kids were already getting ready for school! OOPS!
- Our house was just too comfy cozy last night and he didn't want to leave, he loves it - and he loves us!
I hope these help! Some of these have worked on my kiddos...some of them got me a side-eye :) Good luck!
