Discover and track the species found in Holbrook! We love our town, and our Town Forest is an excellent place to discover how much biodiversity surrounds us! However, don't think you are only limited to searching in the town forest- you'll be amazed at how much biodiversity is even just in your own backyard!
How to participate with the app:
Download the free iNaturalist app from the Apple Store or Google Play.
Under “Projects”, search “HPL Species Scavenger Hunt Fall 2024” and join.
Find plants and wildlife anywhere in Norfolk County, even your home or neighborhood!
Take photos of plants and wildlife.
Share your observations in the “HPL Species Scavenger Hunt Fall 2024” project.
How to participate without the app:
Take your wildlife pictures, the best quality you can!
Email them to us at the library and we will submit them for you on our iNaturalist account!
Please make sure to include a general description of a location (it doesn't have to be an exact address, just where-ish! )
Thanks to our wonderful Friends group, all participants/registrants will receive a coupon for a free book from our book alley!
Stop in to the library and pick up our scavenger hunt sheets, but don't stop at just the listed species! We are so excited to see what else you can find and document.
