Prior to having children, I did not realize how difficult it is to find an affordable and unique location to host a child's birthday party in the winter! My son is born in February and this is only my second year of planning and it is already a challenge! I was an August baby, so all of my birthday parties growing up included my dad cooking on the grill with the slip and slide going in the backyard; now, it would likely be a bouncy house! My sister is a March baby and I have an entirely new appreciation for how creative my mom was with planning her birthday parties throughout the years.
