It's no mystery that we love local and small here at Macaroni Kid. We are so lucky to have so many options for supporting small businesses in Braintree, Weymouth, Canton, Avon, Holbrook, Stoughton and Randolph. Our local small businesses need us more than ever, and before I buy something from a large retailer, I stop and ask myself, "Can I get this from a local small business?" If the answer is yes, I try my best to do that even if it costs a few dollars or is a little less convenient for me because they are the businesses that say yes to supporting our school fundraisers, donate items to local non-profits, sponsors our kids' sports teams and constantly give back to our communities.
As you start, or for those of you who are planners finish your holiday shopping, I encourage you to check out the businesses in our Shop Local Holiday Gift Guide and the local small businesses in your town and check out the amazing options they are offering this holiday season.
