The last 6 months have been HARD! I'm not going to sugar coat it but I am trying in my own home to be more grateful. I think it helps my mindset tremendously and I encourage you to take 5 minutes once a day to write down a few things that you are grateful for. You can keep them in a notebook, write them on a scrap of paper and recycle it when you are down, jot them down on a whiteboard and leave them to look at until the next day ... anything that works for you but take the time to put pen to paper (or whiteboard). It will help cement them in your consciousness. Today I am thankful for a handy husband who happened to be off today and took the afternoon to fix my dryer that just stopped working this morning. Our washer and dryer are in the same space as our remote classroom so I can only run them once school is done for the day. I tried to catch up this weekend but didn't quite get there. It's running again now and I forgeat about how grateful I am for a dryer until it breaks.
I am also grateful for tips and tricks from other moms. Today's newsletter has 7 Tips for Working From Home With Kids. I hope it helps you as much as it helped me. And finally, I am grateful for the local organizations and businesses who are working so far to provide fun, safe, options for our kids during this difficult time. We are working hard to get them all loaded on the calendar, and you can find them HERE. Remember that many have limited spots so make sure you are checking the calendar often so you don't miss out.
I hope you have a wonderful week and remember you are doing a great job!
