The Braintree Highlands Playground is easily visible from Washington Street/Rt 37 and has a large parking lot on South Street. It is a large playground that completely fenced in with several gates, and rubber paths among the wood chip surface. On the day of our most recent visit, there were lots of families enjoying the structures, but despite several shady areas, it can get hot midday - like any playground.
Our favorite parts of the playground were the pod-like structures, triple slide, and the curvy climber. There are also lots of swings, plenty of slides - including a twisty one, climbing structures, ride-ons, a pirate ship, and an adorable hippo. There are plenty of benches and a few picnic tables but there is only a portapotty for bathroom facilities so plan accordingly.
