Let's Talk Losing Weight and Eating Right on My Jenny Craig Journey

My Lifestyle Change Journey Continues

By Jenn Catto, Publisher Macaroni Kid Weymouth September 29, 2017

Thank you Jenny Craig for sponsoring this post. Tried other diets? It's time for Jenny Craig!

I am beginning week #3 on the Jenny Craig Lifestyle change and as I reflect on the last 2 weeks I have had some eye opening as far as my body, the way I eat and my weight.

Did you know that not everyone loses weight the first week of a lifestyle change? Yeah, me either! This came as a surprise when I stepped on the scale after a week of following the plan to learn I didn’t even lose an ounce. How could that be? How did I screw it up? Well what I learned is there are many factors into losing weight. Something as simple as getting your metabolism to start going or water retention from PMS. I also learned that there is no “one way” to lose weight. Everyone loses weight differently!

It made me also look at why I eat… As you can tell, I like to eat. When looking at the type of eaters, I realize I am definitely an unconscious eater. An unconscious eater doesn't know how much or even really what you are eating throughout the day. I “grazed”, picked here and there and never really sat down and ate a meal.

What kind of eater are you?

Unconscious

Emotional

Social

Uninformed

I decided that week 2 would be a lot more strict. I didn’t substitute, I ate exactly what I was told and I can say that at weigh in, I lose 3lbs*! I also added walking into my routine. I have had less anxiety and feeling less sluggish during the day. So now onto my next goal, hitting 16_lbs. One day at a time and I will get there soon enough!       *Results not typical. Members following the Jenny Craig program, on average, lose 1-2lbs per week. I received promotional consideration.

Until next week….
