Weymouth Recreation Summer 2016 Programs
The mission of the Weymouth Recreation Division is to enhance the quality of life in the Town of Weymouth by offering programs and services, in a cooperative spirit, that encourages participation in recreation, sport, leisure, and cultural activities while carefully promoting and utilizing the open space, water, conservation, and recreational resources or facilities available in the community.
Camp Wey-Fun @ Wessagusset ~ Ages 4-12 ~ $180.00/week, $90/weekly ½ day & $48/daily ~ Camp includes multi-sport activities, boating, swimming and beach activities, playground games, arts & crafts, archery, drama and special activities. (July 5th through August 19th)
Wey-Fun @ Esker ~ Ages 4-12 ~ $180.00/week, $90/weekly ½ day & $48/daily ~ Offers nature exploration, sports, games, arts & crafts, daily trips to Lane Beach and plenty of outdoor fun. (June 13th through July 1st & August 22nd through September 2nd)
Esker Nature Programs ~ Ages 4-8 ~ $75/week ~The Nature Programs include a lot of shallow water nature exploration. Incoming and outgoing tides provide exploration that is ever-changing. (July 5th through August 19th)
Sprouts @ Weston Park/Tufts Library ~ Ages 3-6 ~ $60/week ~Week of fun such as science activities, playground games, reading circles, hands on art projects, and more! (June 20th through August 19th)
Esker-Esque ~ Ages 8-12 ~ $180/weekly ~Children can sample some classic Esker activities such as fish, hike, draw, paint, compete in survivor challenges, learn to shoot an arrow, and so much more. (July 5th through August 19th)
Esker Adventure Programs ~ Ages 8-13 ~ $90/week ~ Esker Adventure Program will allow the children to opportunity to experience Fishing (8-13 yrs), Croc Hunter (10-13 yrs), Biking (8-13 yrs), Tubing (8-13 yrs), Geo Hiking (8-13 yrs) & Canoeing/Kayaking (8-13 yrs). (June 20th through August 26th)
Exceptional Program ~ Ages 8-17 ~ $125/week ~This program is for Weymouth only children with specials needs such as Down Syndrome and high functioning autism. (July 11th through August 19th)
Southfield Sports Group ~ Ages 8-12 ~ $180/week ~ Activities will include Street Hockey at the new Rink, wiffleball on Mini-Fenway, field sports on the soccer field and the refurbished gym will be utilized for indoor gym games. (July 11th through August 19th)
Learn To Ride ~ Ages 4-10 ~ $25/week ~ Kids will be guided by their Leaders In Training on how to ride a bicycle in a safe, no pressure environment. (July 5th through August 19th)
Wey-Fun Rangers ~ Entering Grades 1-4 ~ $250/week ~ Special needs professionals and kids needing extra support and supervision due to moderate behavior or developmental delays experience playground games, arts & crafts, sports, trips to the beach and other outdoor summer activities. (July 5th through August 19th)
Leaders In Training ~ Ages 13-15 ~ $35/week ~ Teens will work with children attending certain camps along with learning confidence, independence & responsibility. (June 27th through August 26th)
Middle School Adventure Club ~ Ages 11-15 ~ $130/week ~ Each day is a new adventure for middle school aged kids to participate in including kayaking, canoeing, hiking, team-building activities and other outdoor adventures. (July 5th through August 19)
